Details

1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take items 3 and 4 in private. The committee will also decide whether to take consideration of a draft letter making recommendations to the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee on the Scottish Elections (Reform) Bill in private at a future meeting.

2. Scottish Elections (Reform) Bill: The Committee will take evidence, with a view to making recommendations to the lead committee on the Bill at Stage 1 at a later date, from—
Willie Sullivan, Senior Director (Campaigns and Scotland), Electoral Reform Society;
Ronnie Hinds, Chair, Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland.

3. Scottish Elections (Reform) Bill: The Committee will consider the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.

4. Work programme: The Committee will consider its work programme.


Proposed future business


At its next meeting, on 13 November, the Committee expects to consider its approach to the the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Bill, and a draft annual report for the parliamentary year from 9 May 2020 to 8 May 2021.
