1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 5 in private. 2. Civil Litigation (Expenses and Group Proceedings) (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from— Sheriff Principal James Taylor; Elaine Samuel, Honorary Fellow, University of Edinburgh. 3. Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence on the Bill at Stage 2 from— Grazia Robertson, Member, Criminal Law Committee, Law Society of Scotland; Detective Superintendent Gordon McCreadie, Public Protection, Police Scotland; Dr Marsha Scott, Chief Executive, Scottish Women's Aid; Professor Mandy Burton, School of Law, University of Leicester. 4. Justice Sub-Committee on Policing: The Committee will consider a report back from the Sub-Committee meeting on 26 October 2017. 5. Work programme: The Committee will consider its work programme.
