1. Decisions on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take items 5, 6 and 7 in private. 2. Care Inspectorate: The Committee will take evidence from— Jackie Irvine, Chief Executive, Edith Macintosh, Executive Director of Assurance and Improvement (Adults, Registration, Complaints and Quality Improvement), and Kevin Mitchell, Executive Director of Assurance and Improvement (Children’s Regulated Care and Strategic Scrutiny), Care Inspectorate. 3. Food Standards Scotland: The Committee will take evidence from— Heather Kelman, Chair, Ian McWatt, Deputy Chief Executive, and Gillian Purdon, Head of Healthy Diet and Nutrition, Food Standards Scotland. 4. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will consider the following negative instrument— Health Boards (Membership and Procedure) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025 5. Research into barriers to participation in sport and physical activity: The Committee will receive a briefing from the following SPICe academic fellows on key findings from their research— Dr David Meir, Lecturer in sport coaching and development, University of the West of Scotland; Dr David Scott, Lecturer in sport development, Abertay University. 6. Care Inspectorate: The Committee will consider the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2. 7. Food Standards Scotland: The Committee will consider the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 3.
