Paper for meeting 3 September 2019
1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 3 in private. The Committee will also decide whether item 4 and all further consideration of its approach to the proposed Deposit Return Scheme should be taken in private at future meetings.
2. European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018: The Committee will consider proposals by the Scottish Government to consent to the UK Government legislating using the powers under the Act in relation to the following UK statutory instrument proposals—
The Persistent Organic Pollutants (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019; The REACH etc (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) (No. 3) Regulations 2019; The Trade in Animals and Animal Products (Legislative Functions) and Veterinary Surgeons (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019; and The Import of and Trade in Animals and Animal Products (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) (No. 2) Regulations 2019.
3. EU exit: The Committee will consider a list of candidates for the post of adviser.
4. Proposed Deposit Return Scheme: The Committee will consider its approach to its work on the proposed Deposit Return Scheme.
5. Marine Inquiry – Regional Marine Planning (in private): The Committee will consider its approach to the inquiry.
6. Work programme (in private): The Committee will consider its work programme.
